Goalkeeper sticks

Goalkeeper sticks

Goalkeeper sticks are divided into left and right ones in the same way like sticks for players. They are also made of wood or composite. This is however the last similarity - compared with the player's sticks the goalkeeper sticks are so formed to cover the space between the goalkeeper's pads above all. The sticks have thus much wider blade and a paddle which is the extended part above the blade.  The stick is always held above the paddle and the lenght thereof is the most important factor when choosing the stick. It must be so long that when the goalkeeper holds the stick and takes the classic position on skates the blocker is next to the goalie pad and on the same level as the catch glove.
