How to choose a hockey bag?

A hockey bag is an essential piece of equipment for every hockey player. It's where you keep your hockey equipment and you can't do without it even when traveling to games or training. When choosing a hockey bag, it is important to consider several factors such as size, capacity, material quality and price. In this article, we will advise you on how to choose the best hockey bag for you and your needs.

How to choose the size of the hockey bag?

When choosing, it is good to take into account the size of the player, his equipment, as well as the planned transport of equipment.

There are three types of hockey bags:

Bag on wheels - the bag can be carried on wheels by the pull-out handle or carried in the hand or over the shoulder thanks to the straps. A big advantage is also the reinforced bottom, which makes handling easier.

Bag without wheels - this bag can be comfortably carried in the hand or over the shoulder, its advantage is consistency. The disadvantage is that you have to lug around the often heavy sports equipment.

Backpack – this is a combination of a backpack and a bag on wheels with an extendable handle.

There are sizes for senior and junior players to choose from. The volume of the bag is given in liters. It also depends on whether the bag will serve the player or the goalkeeper. These bags differ in their layout, as goalkeeper bags should have more space for special equipment - therefore we do not recommend buying bags with a volume of less than 250 l.

Material, design and price

The material from which the bag is made is also important. A hockey bag is exposed to a variety of conditions, from freezing on the ice to damp in the locker room, so it should be made of quality and durable material that can withstand tough conditions. You should also look for bags with good ventilation so you can let your gear dry out after a match or practice.

It's also a good idea to consider whether you want a bag with wheels to easily transport your hockey equipment, or if you prefer a bag with wearable shoulder straps. Choosing between a bag with wheels and a bag with straps depends on your personal preferences and how often and where you will be traveling with the bag.

The price of a hockey bag can also vary depending on the brand and quality of the material. Expensive bags don't necessarily mean better quality, but in general, a higher price will get you a better guarantee of quality and longevity. When choosing a hockey bag, it is definitely worth investing in quality equipment that will last you for many seasons.

What should you look for in a good hockey bag?

If you want the bag to be comfortable to wear and perform the required function, it should have:
zapínání na zip ve tvaru „U“ pro snadný přístup do tašky
dostatek kapes a přihrádek
nastavitelné popruhy pro komfortní nošení
vysoce odolný a pevný materiál
