Blizzard

Zakladatel firmy byl Toni Arnsteiner, který při návratu z 2. světové války začal ve své truhlářské dílně v rakouském Mittersillu vyrábět lyže. Oficiálně je značka Blizzard registrována v roce 1953. V roce 1954 jako první výrobce lyží začíná při výrobě používat tzv.kofix. V roce 1958 vyhrává na lyžích Blizzard světový pohár ve sjezdovém lyžování Švýcarka Frieda Dänzer. V roce 1964 vyhrává zlatou olympijskou medaili na OH v Insbrucku rakouská sjezdařka Christl Haas. V roce 1963 velká část továrny vyhořela. V roce 1970 výroba dosáhla 500.000 lyží za rok.

V 80. letech začíná Blizzard vyrábět i ostatní lyžařské příslušenství a oblečení (termo prádlo). Investuje do nových technologiíí – karbon, titan, kevlar a používá je při výrobě lyží. V roce 2006 přichází Blizzard s revolučním IQ systém, který spojuje lyže a vázání v jeden celek. Posledním velkým úspěchem na sportovním poli je zlatá olympijská medaile rakouského sjezdaře Mario Matta z roku 2014.
